Our Story
Conceptualized in 2017, We Bleed Red works within educational settings to increase knowledge of menstruation, access to management, and remove period stigma.

This student-produced documentary chronicles the begging of We Bleed Red, as it adapted to a university campus that was hostile towards menstruators. Forcing WBR to shift, become community oriented, supported, and led. Providing menstrual cups and education to a resource lacking enviroment.
The Early Years
2017
NC State graduate student envisioned a campus where menstrual products were free to students
2018
NC State student government successfully piloted a free menstrual product program in the student union titled “Pack Bleeds Red”
2019
After loosing financial and institutional support “We Bleed Red” was formed and student group working to provide sustainable menstrual care and education
2020
We Bleed Red grew to provide menstrual advocacy and education to students of all ages across multiple institutions
